SUBJECT: New P225/60R16 Aramid Overlay Eagle RS-A Plus tire in Law Enforcement Applications (Contains Revised Tire Mixing Instructions)

Goodyear is pleased to announce the introduction of the new P225/60R16 Eagle RS-A Plus tire. The new P225/60R16 Eagle RS-A Plus contains an aramid overlay and will be an original equipment application on the 2003 Ford Crown Victoria for Law Enforcement.

The new Eagle RS-A Plus has improved handling, puncture resistance and resistance to flatspotting when compared to the Eagle RS-A it replaces. The tire also has deeper non-skid in the shoulder for improved front tire treadwear.

As always, to obtain the maximum handling and traction benefits of the new tire we recommend installing these tires in sets of four.

However, if mixing Eagle RS-A Plus and Eagle RS-A tires where only two tires are applied, the Eagle RS-A Plus tires must be applied to the rear axle.

This applies to both front-wheel and rear-wheel drive vehicles.

Warning: Use of aramid belted Eagle RS-A Plus tires on the front axle, and different tires on the rear axle, creates a higher risk of loss of control in operations involving high speed or aggressive maneuvers.
