Curt Andersson was named President of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company’s North American Tire business unit on February 3, 2010.

Andersson joined the company after serving as President of Cooper Crouse-Hinds, a division of Cooper Industries, from 2003. In that role, Andersson led earnings growth and expanded new product introductions for the company.

Previously, Andersson was Senior Vice President, Industrial Integration for The Timken Company. He was in that position in 2003 after having served two years as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Prior to that, Andersson performed in a variety of roles for General Electric Company. He began his GE tenure in 1994 as Manager, Corporate Business Development, before working in the areas of sourcing, supply chain, and business development both in the U.S. and Mexico. In 1999, he was named General Manager, Aviation Information Services for GE’s aircraft engine business.

Andersson began his career in 1984 as a marketing representative for IBM Corporation. He subsequently was a management consultant for McKinsey & Company and A.T. Kearney, Inc. before joining General Electric.

Andersson earned his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering at Northwestern University in 1984 and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in 1989.

Born in 1961, Andersson resides in Hudson, Ohio.
