Executive Leadership
Greg Smith was named Senior Vice President, Global Operations for The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in October 2011. He is responsible for the company's global strategy for supply chain, logistics, procurement, manufacturing, quality and engineering.
Smith joined Goodyear with more than 25 years of experience in manufacturing and supply chain from ConAgra Foods, where he had been Executive Vice President, Supply Chain and Operations since 2007.
He joined ConAgra in 2001 as Vice President, Manufacturing for its Venture Brands business and was named Executive Vice President, Operations and Supply Chain for the Grocery Foods group in 2002, President and Chief Operating Officer, Grocery Foods in 2005 and Senior Vice President, Supply Chain in 2006.
Prior to joining ConAgra, Smith was Vice President, Supply Chain for United Signature Foods from 1999 to 2001.
Smith began his career in 1986 when he joined Quaker Oats Company as a Production Supervisor and held positions of increased responsibility in operations including Plant Manager of two facilities and Brand Manager in a marketing assignment.
He joined VDK Frozen Foods in 1996 as Vice President, Manufacturing and Distribution in 1996 and was named Vice President, Operations in 1998.
Smith, 48, received a bachelor's degree in business administration, finance from the University of Tennessee in 1985. He is a native of Memphis, Tennessee.
