Darren R. Wells was elected Senior Vice President of Finance and Strategy for The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company effective March 14, 2007. Previously, he had served as Senior Vice President, Business Development & Treasurer since May 2005.

Wells joined Goodyear as Vice President and Treasurer in August 2002.

Previously, Wells was Assistant Treasurer of Visteon Corp. for two years, where he led the development of a treasury operation, as the parts manufacturer was spun-off from Ford Motor Co.

Before joining Visteon, Wells worked in Ford's Australian operations from 1998 to 2000. He served as Controller of Ford Investment Enterprises and as Finance Director of Ford Credit Australia.

Previously, Wells was a Manager in the Treasurer's Office at Ford Motor Credit Co. from 1996 to 1997 and Supervisor, Financial Analysis from 1992 to 1996. He joined the company in 1989 as a Financial Analyst.

Born December 25, 1965, in Indianapolis, Wells has a Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind., and a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind.

Wells has two children, and presently resides in Hudson, Ohio.
