Just moved here (March) from Ohio where I had 40 years service at Goodyear Corporate Headquarters. Have had three oil changes with tire rotation thus far at Black’s and they have been very upfront and have provided good service. Carl at the front desk is a character and very personable. The two oil changes for my car had me in and out of there in about 90 minutes. Took my wife’s car in today and the same service was completed in just shy of 3 hours. I trust Blacks due to their long working relationship with Goodyear. Being retired, slowness isn’t quite the issue that it was when working. Difficult to understand why one cannot schedule an appointment. Since there are not any Goodyear (Retail Stores) in and around Wilmington, we will continue to trust our vehicles with the Blacks location on Carolina Beach Road.

I selected Blacks's because I have been a customer for many years. I have always found them to be honest and reliable. They always have a steady stream of customers, so at times the wait is a little longer than ideal. The have a large waiting area with TV and magazines.

My new tires were installed in a timely manner. Everyone was friendly and professional.

I ordered new tires through the Goodyear.com. I ordered exactly what I wanted. The tires were delivered to Black’s on a Thursday, I dropped my car off Thursday afternoon for Friday tire installation. I hadn’t heard a word from Black’s by 5pm Friday so I called and was told my tires had NOT been installed as promised. I was advised by “Greg” that the tires would be installed first thing Saturday morning. I called Black’s at noon Saturday and was told that my tires had been installed and I could pick up my car. I proceeded to Black’s and saw immediately that the tires that had been installed were NOT the tires that I had ordered. “Greg” grabbed the invoice and ran out to my car and confirmed that they were NOT the tires that I had ordered. Keep in mind that the tires that I had ordered WERE DELIVERED to Black’s as confirmed by rep Horace. These tires were MY property, ordered by me and billed to me. I suspect that MY tires were sold to someone else at a profit.

I was so grateful for the friendly and efficient service that Black’ Tire and auto service provided. I am new to the area and was so grateful to find a shop that was filled with so many friendly faces!!

Ordered 4 tires online which was so easy and convenient! But when arrived for scheduled appointment to install the tires the store didn't have info that I had placed online and tried to recharge me! However the issue was resolved! The store wasn't even busy but waited over 2 hours to have them installed! They also did balance and realignment without my consent!!
