The Benefits

  • Versatility

All-season tires are the most versatile type of tire. They’re built to confidently face everyday road wear as well as changing weather conditions like rain, sleet, slush and even light snow.

  • Energy Efficiency

All-season tires tend to have low rolling resistance, which helps minimize the amount of energy used in driving. Some may help increase your gas mileage.

  • Tread Life

All-season tire treads tend to last longer than single-season tires. Additionally, many come with impressive tread wear warranties.

  • Comfort

All-season tires are built with a specially formulated rubber compound and sidewall construction that helps provide a more comfortable and quiet ride.

The Technologies

When you're looking for new tires, keep an eye out for these technologies in some of Goodyear's popular All-Season tires.

  • Asymmetric Tread

A tread design that uses an outer tread zone for commanding dry grip, and a water-shedding inner tread zone to aid wet traction.

  • Water Zones

A sweeping tread pattern that helps evacuate water from the tread for increased wet traction.

  • TractiveGroove Technology

A sweeping tread pattern that helps evacuate water from the tread for increased wet traction.

  • Evolving Traction Grooves

Grooves that help maintain confident traction in rain and snow as the tire wears.

  • Sweeping Aquachannel®Grooves

Grooves on the inboard side of the tread that help enhance wet cornering grip.

Comparing Weather Conditions

Before you decide which tire type is right for you, keep these key differences in mind.

  •  All-Season

    • Designed to: face changing weather conditions like rain, sleet, slush and even light snow.
    • Consider if: you live in a place that faces a variety of weather conditions. However, if you know you’ll have to drive through snow or ice on a regular basis, you might want to consider winter tires for the colder months.
  •  Summer
    • Designed to: help provide excellent performance on both wet and dry roads.
    • Consider if: you enjoy driving with precision and live in a place where it’s warm regularly. Don’t let the name fool you though; summer tires do offer impressive wet traction. Just make sure to change to winter tires if you know you’ll have to drive through snow or ice.
  •  Winter
    • Designed to: enhance grip in even the most severe winter weather conditions including slush, snow, freezing rain and ice.
    • Consider if: you live in a place that frequently sees snow or ice. However, winter tires aren’t designed for all-seasons. They should be replaced with either summer or all-season tires once the weather warms up.
