Cleaning Instructions for Custom Tire Sidewalls

Recommended cleaning procedure:

• Mount the tires on wheels and inflate
• Apply some mild soap, such as liquid dishwashing soap, directly to the sidewall
• Use a nylon bristle brush with clean water to scrub the sidewall
• Rinse the tire with clean water
• Do not use petroleum-based tire dressing, cleaners or any other petroleum-based products
• Do not use tire dressings, cleaners or other products that contain alcohol

If you need to clean tires before they are mounted, use the same method, but make sure no water or soap remains inside the tire when it is installed.

This cleaning procedure would also apply to general cleaning of tires already in service.
